BASIC ENGLISH COURSE EVALUATION AUTUMN 2010

What did you like most (or not like) about the textbook, workbook and/or software?
This textbook is easily understandable and readable; it’s standard for our level of class.
Everything in the book helps us to write paragraphs.
The pronunciation is very clear.
I like the hearing parts, the voice is nice.
It helped with my English skills and my computer skills.
I would like to learn more about the software.
The software was bad.
I liked the workbook because it is fun.
Everything was clear and it has a little test every unit that helped me out.
Exercises and rules were good for us.
The book is easy to understand and the activities have easy instructions.
I didn’t like the textbook.
I was uncomfortable with the workbook because it doesn’t have the answers.
There are some interesting articles in the textbook.
I can buy easily and cheap.
I didn’t like the new textbook because there were not enough rules for writing and some rules were too easy for Level 7.
I didn’t like the book because it did not provide enough work space.
I hate that this textbook changes every semester. Please do not change every semester.
I didn’t like it when I went to go somewhere on the internet, I can’t use that.
We want more slang in the software.
I do not like the software because I do not know how to type.

Yes. It was useful because I learned new things and some things that I was using wrong, not I know the right way.
Yes. It helped me to know the difference between present tense and past tense part of English.
Yes. My teacher gave us a lot of homework.

What could we do to make the program better?
Keep the same teacher, she is a good teacher- every question that you have, she has an answer. She is patient and she is a really good person.
As far as I am concerned so far so good.
Just keep it going the way it is. I liked it. Thank you.
I think some students need more help, a tutor would be helpful.
If we do more exercise with worksheets, it would be much better for us.
I would like to have more class discussion with teachers and classmates.
More hours per week would be helpful.

In my opinion, I would like to say if it’s possible to change some of the textbook’s program and add valuable lessons that the students may obtain better writing skills. Moreover, I need to say something about the new book- the new book was an interesting one but it was not as much as we thought because some of the program was not helping us become better writers.

By making sure that students need more supplies on school material and some other services.
There are days off and it is difficult to make up for the lost time and I wish that all students knew how to use the computer.
